A Hypnotist In Worthing Treats Social Anxiety Using Metaphor

Being a hypnotist I do not like to look at things literally. The subconscious is able to do amazing things if you turn it into a game and have some fun with it so what is it supposed to do with a diagnosis such as Social Anxiety. Unfortunately your subconscious does absorb that label into the pattern that creates these anxious feelings and this helps you gain an understanding of your predicament, but it does not help you free yourself from those feelings. So try looking at it in metaphor.

My favourite metaphor for Social Anxiety treatment I call The Village Metaphor. It is based on stories and the situation that we find every hero in before their journey begins. In Fantasy novels this tends to be a little out of the way village where they grew up living a good but small life, often aware that there is something bigger and better out there. It is not until they actually leave the village that they start to realise their powers or their true destiny, but not before they overcome great adversity. The same can be said of every hero in every story in one way or another from Rom Coms to Sci-Fi. And the same can be said of you.

If your experience in life is akin with Social Anxiety Disorder then you are in The Village. You are unable to become your true self until you are able to do what you need to do in social situations, but you feel unable to do them, trapped. In hypnosis I can free you from your village so that you are better able to face the risks and face the adversity which will allow you to discover your inner strength and become the person that you are meant to be. In hypnosis I might do this by speaking plainly to your subconscious or by literally taking you to your village in your mind and telling you what to do to escape it. It depends what I discover your mind responds best to.
