Hypnosis For Social Anxiety Disorders
You can do a test or a quiz designed to identify the symptoms of Social Anxiety Disorder, but why is the name of the collection of symptoms important? 'Do I have Social Anxiety?' is is a less important question than 'how do I stop feeling like this?' What is important is the fact that you are feeling a certain way that makes you ask questions like this in the first place. The name is less important than the experience that you are having, an experience that you want to change if it is holding you back from achieving what you want to in life.
If you go and see a hypnotist or hypnotherapist for help they should be more interested in those feelings and when you get them than giving them a name. It is the feelings that need treatment after all. Even if you are diagnosed as having Social Anxiety Disorder, your experience is not the same as anyone else's that has had the same diagnosis, not exactly, and so you must be treated as an individual in order to help cure it.
So, 'how do you get Social Anxiety Disorder?' 'What are the causes?' These can be useful questions to ask in order to overcome Social Anxiety, but the answers are not essential. The important thing to know is that the feelings come from the subconscious need to protect you. Fear and anxiety are the feelings that occur in order to keep you away from things that your subconscious perceives as a threat. Your subconscious may be wrong about this threat though, and in hypnosis I can correct that.
Your subconscious takes action to keep you safe and has no interest in taking risks even if not taking those risks leaves you feeling awful. At least you're safe. Risks are important though in order to progress in life, and it is this perceived inability to progress that adds frustration and guilt to the general feelings of fear and anxiety which can leave you caught in a downward spiral.
In hypnosis, by moving around the beliefs, feelings and expectations that are trapping you in the safety of this security we change the pattern that your subconscious runs each time you find yourself in, or try to enter, a social situation. Hypnosis can free you to make the most of life's opportunities and enjoy a sense of satisfaction from life.
