Hypnosis – Change The Way You Do Things And Change Your Life

There's a popular saying in psychology circles: 'If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got.' This like many other psychological models makes your life a whole lot easier as well as making your life a whole lot more complicated. If you can be hypnotised then there is a solution for the latter half of this model so that you can have your cake and eat it.

You learn as you go through life and patterns of thoughts and behaviours form. These patterns are passed quickly into the subconscious and are run whenever a suitable situation arises. This is useful as it would be mentally exhausting to approach each situation afresh. However the more established a pattern gets in your mind, the more entrenched it becomes and you lose some of your adaptability to new situations. Social Anxiety Disorder is an example of an entrenched pattern. Depression is an example of an entrenched pattern. Stress, fear, panic and phobias are examples of entrenched patterns. To Name but a few. Changing those patterns can really change your life.

There are three ways to change these patterns. One is with a lot of conscious effort and will power which is very difficult but not impossible. The other is through an extreme emotional experience related to the pattern in question which cannot be counted on and would be very unpredictable. The third option is Hypnosis!

Before hypnosis I will get an idea of the pattern you are running and why it is unsuitable for certain situations. I will then get an idea of what a useful pattern would be for the situation in discussion. In hypnosis, I will encourage your subconscious to keep using the original pattern where it is useful but suggest changes to make a new pattern in other situations. Hypnosis is the acceptance of the hypnotist's suggestions so Bobs your uncle!
