Changing Subconscious Patterns Using Hypnotic Symbolism

All emotion and all behaviour is the result of subconscious patterns. These patterns are routines stored in your subconscious that are fired off habitually when you find yourself in certain situations. By routines, I mean a combination of beliefs, expectations, doubts, hopes, memories, knowledge, thoughts, images that all make you feel and behave in a certain way. All happens without you thinking about it.

This means that you can operate very efficiently because it saves you having to think about what you are doing every minute of every day. The flip side of that is that if you get in the habit of running a pattern that does not make you behave in the right way it can be very difficult to change it.

In hypnosis we can change aspects of that pattern to get better results or we can change the pattern all together. One of my favourite ways of changing subconscious patterns is using hypnotic symbolism. I do not like to start my sessions working on anything too specific as I have found through experience that using a wide beam of focus in the first session often means we do not need to deal with the specifics as everything is worked out in one go and I like to get results in the minimum number of sessions. Hypnotic symbolism is perfect for this.

I have used symbolism to stop people smoking, get them off anti-depressants, to get rid of all sorts of anxiety, to stop someone committing suicide amongst other things. It is a very effective and very flexible technique.

It works by getting a subconscious symbol for the pattern that you want to change. A symbol is a little like a logo – something relatively simple that represents something complicated. When we have a symbol for a pattern that is creating unwanted behaviours or emotions we go into hypnosis and change it for a better symbol until those feelings are gone because when we change the symbol, we change the pattern. Changing subconscious patterns using hypnotic symbolism may happen in one go or it may take a few steps but can be completed in one session.

There really is not much more to it than that. With hypnosis, it is usually possible to find a very simple solution for what seems like a complicated problem. If you have unwanted behaviours or emotions in your life that are holding you back and you would like to be more comfortable in your own mind, please contact me for some hypnosis in Worthing to find out if changing subconscious patterns using hypnotic symbolism will work for you.
